Granola with a twist

Hi there! let’s talk food shall we?

Today i was feeling a bit creative and for those who know me a little bit know i love to cook and experiment a little with it..

So what did i do? Yes i went in to the kitchen and since it was my mumday i thought let’s make a nice treat for my youngest one and for myself. I recently discoverd a granola from OotGranola, it is low in Sugar, it is 100% biologic, without any gluten and contains a whole lot of nuts.

Because i like to keep my Sugar intake as low as possible it really appeals to me since i am a big Sugar addict, yes guilty as charged.ย

I made a traditional granola with yoghurt and fruits and then i thought i am going to try to combine this granola with something that isn’t sweet in texture.

It worked out really well, so hereby i would like to share my recipe with you:

Avocado Salmon and Granola for Lunch.

  • 1/2 a Avocado
  • 60 grams of salmon
  • 1 tb. spoon pesto
  • 2 tb.spoons OotGranola
  • Bread of your choiche i used ‘speltbrood’ ( I looked but there is not a translation for it in English as far as i know )

Really good! i used the ‘Crunchy Nuts’ for this recipe.

 

A classic Granola and yoghurt with fresh fruits.

I also made a classic Granola with yoghurt and fresh fruits as well.

What do you need?

  • 200 grams of non fat yoghurt
  • 80 grams of fresh fruits
  • 2 tb. spoons of the ‘Crunchy Nuts’ from OotGranola.

How are you all?

i see the Blog is getting more and views, so super exited about that!

And i received some questions about some of the pictures i upload on Instagram @frombabytobikinibody .

1. How can it be that all of your pictures look flawless and so professional? ( well first of all, thank you! i am flattered ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

well, i believe that if you have good pictures on your Instagram that really tell a story, thenย  people who share the same interests as you will find you and you can connect on social media. Which by the way is one of my goals, to motivate and stimulate others on their journey towards becoming the best version of theirselves. I also look for other #fitmoms on their journey and look at those really beautiful women on Instagram with those popping muscles and ridiculous booty’s because .. well let’s face it.. i want that as well haha! off course you can find everybody with this interest by just looking at the right hashtags but if someone has no pretty pictures, blurry or dark for example, i think most people will tune out and look elsewhere.

But that did just answer a little bit of the question; so how come my pictures look professional? i love to work with Elsbeth Hoekstra, she is a photographer who also shot my wedding.ย  http://www.ehphoto.nl/

i simply asked her what it would cost to do a shoot together and we came to a agreement. i wanted to have some pictures of me being fit because i worked my ass of to coming as for as i did. I decided a long time ago i was good enough to do some nice things for me once and a while, and so i did ๐Ÿ˜‰ She shot most of the pictures of me in the gym and me in the industrial warehouse. love it!

But i don’t always have money to do a shoot, which i think is perfectly normal.. because you know life haha. so what i do is i look at http://www.Groupon.nl or http://www.vakantieveilingen.nl for a photoshoot. you pay fee for the organisation, you pay the photoshoot you won and you buy the pictures you like ate the photographer office. Healthy snack High protein

Hi there! how are you?

it’s Monday again wich means i have the day off from work, it is mom day and the little one is sound asleep ๐Ÿ˜‰ and i thought let’s share one of my recent recipes with you!

Healthy snack time

I love to snack and i love to find recipes that allow me to do this on a healthy base.

Because they are not Always easy to find i went in to the kitchen and figured out a recipe for myself. here we go ..

Chia and protein cocktail

Ingredients: ( serves 2 )

  • 2.5 tb spoons of chia seed
  • 150 ml Milk and fruit

pour the Milk and fruit over the chia seed, give them a good stirr and leave them in your fridge over night.

  • 1 sachet Goddess Nutrition complete slimming me20180130_151036_resized
  • al replacement raspberry cheesecake. ( 1 sachet only contains 104 kcal, and this snack serves 2 so 52 kcal, and has 12.6 gr of protein per sachet. The chia seed contains about 44 kcal per 10 gr)
  • Mix this sachet with 3 big tb. spoons of non fat yoghurt ( kwark)
  • Add 3 tb. spoons of water and mix. Now get your glass and put the Chia seeds in about 2.5 tb spoons then put the non fat yoghurt mix on top, also about 2.5 tb spoons.
  • Cut 1 strawberry and decorate your glass, and enjoy your healthy high protein snack. ENJOY!!
